Dr. Rachel Hooper is originally from New Jersey and attended the University of Maryland, hoping to pursue a career in a laboratory. After graduation, she went on to work for a couple of years as a veterinary technician before returning to school to get her master’s in laboratory medicine. Once she achieved this goal, Dr. Hooper realized that she missed the hands-on experiences of life in an animal clinic and decided that her true passion lay in the veterinary world. Dr. Hooper then went on to Colorado State University, where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
Many values drive Dr. Hooper, but some of the most important to her are her integrity, a strong sense of the importance of serving others, and an unquenchable love of family. When she is not working, Dr. Hooper loves to venture outside to experience the great outdoors. Whether hiking, camping, kayaking, or just going for a walk, she enjoys exploring her adoptive home state with her husband and her Australian shepherd, Tally.
